Can the dream be a reality?

Feeling kind of blah right now. So tired of working at my job, I just wish something fun and exciting would come along! Out of sheer desperation I actually submitted an application to become an Avon representative. I couldn't even imagine going door to door selling (of all things) makeup! How do people actually make a living doing that??

I've been searching for a new job. Granted I haven't been dedicating the time I should to the task at hand but I haven't received any bites. I've even sent my resume to an agency, who interviewed me, said they had some jobs I may be interested in and I haven't heard back from them yet. Its only been a few days but I find it odd that nothing has come in.

The employment agent asked me what I'd like to see myself doing. Of course I lied. How could I tell her, the woman who will hopefully be finding me my NEW job that I don't want to work in an office at all? She'd tell me she couldn't help me and send me on my way. But what i'd really love to do is open my own bake shop. Hence the title of this blog page.

I've been giving it a lot of thought lately but unfortunately I just don't have the resources to do it. Opening a small shop would be fabulous maybe with a small seating area, sell coffee and hot chocolate. Being able to sell cookies, cakes and most importantly...CUPCAKES would be a dream come true.

I love cupcakes, the fact that you can have a small individual piece of cake is wonderful. Plus it opens the doorway to creativity! Between icings, fillings, and decorations the sky's the limit. Not to mention the different types of cake! White, golden, chocolate, devil's food, red velvet, angel food...I can go on but you get the idea.

Plus, I love to bake. What I love even more about baking is watching people's reactions when they eat the baked goods, it makes all the hard work worth while.

Unfortunately my dream requires quite a bit of money which is in very limited supply right now. I could get a loan but then what? And there's the off chance that the business does not work out. Then what would i do? Well, I guess I could sell Avon products.
